Fashion News: Miu Miu S/S 2014 Campaign
MIU MIU has unveiled the stars of its new advertising campaign for the spring summer 2014 collection. The shots feature four rising actresses: Elle Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen, Lupita Nyong’o and Bella Heathcote. Four young starlets who epitomize the Miu Miu girl.
The simple yet bold images were shot by photographer duo Inez & Vinoodh in New York. Fanning – younger sister of fellow actress Dakota Fanning – gained fame after starring in Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere, since she has made a big name for herself within the fashion industry, known for her coquettish looks and girly style. Elizabeth Olsen – sister of the famous Olsen twins – is known for her harrowing performance in Martha Macy May Malene. Australian actress Heathcote’s first cinema hit was Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows. Lupita Nyong’o is a relatively new actress but is tipped to win big at awards season this year, for her role in the critically acclaimed 12 Years a Slave, where she gave an exceptional performance.
All are relatively new actresses at the beginning of their career with the world at their feet, and that makes them perfect casting for Miu Miu. Both Miu Miu and its parent brand Prada are known for casting the future generation of acting talent in their campaigns.
