Fashion News: Nicola Formicetti’s #DIESELTRIBUTE

Diesel recently appointed  international stylist Nicola Formicetti as Creative Director. He has has released his new campaign for his capsule collection entitled #DIESELTRIBUTE.

The 45 piece collection is inspired by the labels 35 year history mixed with Formicetti’s typically street aesthetic. Using sewn on badges and bottle caps from the 3 decades of the brands history, Nicola has created a collection that pays homage to the history, but is still very modern and progressive. Each piece has been handmade this range will release the denim phase of #DIESEL TRIBUTE on November 4, 2013 with the leather phase following next year in February. Not only has he taken charge of the clothing, but the whole brand advertising. Keeping in tune with his own taste for keeping things very urban and youthful, the collections campaign shot by world famous fashion photographer Nick Knight,   has been taken entirely on an iPhone through the image sharing site instagram. Using stars of street fashion blogs to star in the adverts, he is connecting with a young audience and the new fashion media. Bringing diesel back into the limelight.

Even the name of this revamp, #DIESELTRIBUTE is designed to get the most publicity and is monopolising on the accessibility of social media.
