Jetsetter Style: Come Fly With Me

If you’re one of the lucky ones this summer, and getting ready to jet off across the globe to a sunny beach paradise, or log cabin in the mountains, then sure enough, holiday wardrobe planning will be in full swing.

Holiday wardrobes take weeks of meticulous planning, but there’s one thing that always seems to be overlooked….the airport and flight outfit!  Surely this requires the most planning, with the fluctuating temperatures, and musical chair affair, as you shuffle between cafés and waiting areas until you finally reach your destination. The outfit needs to be perfectly versatile; equipped to take on security without a blip, deal with the change in temperature, and of course be comfortable and stylish, all at the same time.  Here are our tips to keep you hassle free, and looking lovely!        Leave your Hollister sweatpants at home, and rock this year’s ultimate jean style with the boyfriend jean; much more comfortable than the skinny jeans that we all swear by! Distressed and ankle grazing, these are the perfect travelling choice, looking effortlessly chic even with a simple jersey T shirt. Pair with some cool woven and plastic jewellery, to jazz up your outfit and be sure to breeze through security.

Make your security experience just that bit easier with a pair of cute pumps that you can easily slip on and off. This helps avoid that awkward battle with laces and buckles as you hold up the line, and irritate the tense travellers about to miss their flight, because of your unfortunate shoe choice. Oh, and stay away from sky-scraping heels, but surely that goes without saying, right?  Hand luggage doesn’t all have to be a drab and burdensome. Make sure you choose a gorgeous bag you will be so proud to be seen with, you won’t ever want to put it down. This also avoids it being mistaken for suspicious and unattended baggage!

We all know it can get pretty chilly on the plane, so don’t forget to pack lightweight layers, like a cashmere jumper, or cardigan in your hand luggage too.

Missing your flight would certainly be a disaster, especially after all that money spent on your holiday wardrobe. So don’t forget to factor a stylish watch into your travel outfit; it may just be the most important thing you put on that day! Finally you make it to the other side unscathed and still looking great. With the sun shining, it’s time to whip out some fabulous sunglasses to complete the ultimate airport look.
