House of Holland AW’14

The show kicked off with a coat trimmed with fur, metallic lime leisure pants, and a T-shirt donning the slogan ‘Riche Bish’, setting the tongue in cheek tone that was to come from the rest of the collection. The expected quirkiness was of course present with this newest offering from Henry Holland, however and unexpected LBD came strutting down the catwalk, shocking all with its retail friendly appearance, that had no zany strings attached.

Patterns and puns followed, with trippy interpretations of ballroom flooring alongside flocked damask wallpaper and curtains decorating polo-collared mini-dresses and sweatshirts. Sequins and embellishments came in the form of a combination of lipsticks, lobsters and champagne flutes, accenting the ‘Riche Bish’ slogan, which later appeared (correctly spelt this time) across the back of a black satin bomber. Open-work shimmering dresses sashayed down the runway, baring all, while ripped boyfriend jeans came with ruffled tulle peeping through the rips.

A bright and vibrant collection from House of Holland, cheeky and colourful as ever, with such an air of fun around it that made us certain that a good time would be had by all lucky enough to be wear the collection.
