Literally a 5 minute stroll from Manchester’s Victoria Station, this cute, contemporary salon is situated down a quaint cobbled side street in Manchester’s City Center and blissfully tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of the morning commuters and frenzied Christmas shoppers.

Joanne, my colourist and stylist, discussed with my colour options and requirements in depth with me and we finally opted to go for a full  head of highlights featuring a mix of cool ‘clean’ hues with a dash of warmer golden tones. As she applied the foils we chatted away for around an hour until it was time for the bottom foils section to be removed and rinsed. The top section was lastly ‘de-foiled’ and the lovely junior proceeded with a dual shampoo followed by a toner which would work to combat any brassiness remaining in the colour, and as Joanne initially promised “give a cool, clean finish”. This was left on for around 10 minutes. Once rinsed, a strengthening treatment was applied (Tigi Catwalk Awakening Treatment) which is a fantastic boost for colour treated tresses, and massaged into the hair and scalp for the ultimate soothing and relaxation treat.

Once my freshly coloured, toned and treated locks were all washed and rinsed, Joanne set to work on giving my fine hair a serious volume boosting blow dry. A few drops of the legendary Morrocanoil and a fabulous lemon sorbet smelling leave in conditioner were applied prior to the blow dry to tame my tresses into a shiny, healthy looking mane with some serious bounce. Without a doubt this was the perfect finish for the pending party season!
