Situated on Fulham road, Glo Hair and Beauty is a salon that boasts a whole array of commendable awards, along with offering an array of professional treatments.
Renowned for its tanning and nails, I popped by to try out their Artistic Colour Gloss Gel Manicure and was not left disappointed.
Small, intimate and professional, its cosy interior and feel made me feel instantly at ease. I received a warm greeting at reception and was led passed the busy hairdresser who was snipping and styling locks, to the nail area.
Neringa, who is one of Sophy Robson’s nail technicians, is currently working at Glo, and was the lovely lady booked in to do my talons. Renowned for her nail art success, Sophy and her team have created amazing designs for Henry Holland’s London Fashion Week shows and tonnes of celebrities and designers – so I pretty excited to say the least!
I was given a wide option of gel colours, before deciding on a gorgeous summery coral hue. Neringa then set to work, removing my old polish before filing and shaping my nails. They were then prepped and primed before the main event kicked off.
Proving exactly why she works for Sophy Robson, Neringa expertly and efficiently applied a base coat, before placing my hands under a UV lamp to set. She then applied three thin and smooth layers of my chosen shade, setting them under the lamp after each layer, leaving me with a bold and pretty colour.
Finally, a protecting top coat was added to the talons, as well as a drop of cuticle oil to really nourish and hydrate them.
I was so impressed with the speedy but precise application that my nails received, and walked away pleased as punch. For expert treatments and a lovely atmosphere, Glo is definitely worth a visit.
