Last week I talked to you about all things beauty-related so this week, it’s time to talk hair. Whether it’s your relationship status or the weather, when things change in our lives, our hair likes to follow. So why not embrace spring in all its glory and make sure you’re looking hot head to toe, starting with your barnet.

Where better to get some hairspiration than from London Fashion Week. The catwalk was full of fresh and exciting hairstyles which can easily be recreated at home. Light beach waves can always be rocked in Spring – all you need is a decent salt spray and a little bit of backcombing bravery. Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Spray is up there at the top and will aid you in your wavy hair desires.

Another thing that was rocking the London catwalks was the low pony. A very simple and effortless style, but chic all the same. It’s takes seconds to do and can easily banish bad hair days. You can opt for a serum or shine spray if you want to go super sleek, or stick with the raw texture of your hair if you want that ‘just got out of bed’ look. If you’re sweeping it back from a middle parting, make sure your locks are washed to perfection. Then again, it’s nothing a bit of Batiste Dry Shampoo can’t fix.

If simple and effective is what you’re aiming to achieve then long and straight might be the hairstyle to have. Keep a Tangle Teezer in close proximity to avoid any knotty moments you might find yourself caught up in and adopt a middle parting for a casual yet effortlessly cool feel.

The bob is set to make a comeback, so if you’re feeling brave, chance the chop and sport this bold and daring cut. Although styling will be easier, volume and texture will be essential so try the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray or the Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray for a more purse-friendly alternative.

If fuss-free and out your face is your kind of thing, braids are the answer. The fishtail looks complex, but can be completed with ease with the aid of a few YouTube tutorials. The crown braid is also a very pretty and girly up-do which can be achieved within minutes. A spritz of hair spray and a couple of pins will ensure it stays in place.

So, if you’re stuck in a bit of a hair rut and want to try something new, there are plenty of spring hair trends you can get your hands into. Don’t be scared, because it’s better to stand out, than blend into the crowd, right?
