The Bryant Park Hotel is instantly recognizable by its gold and black Gothic grandeur (formerly the American Radiator Building) towering over the streets of mid-town New York. The hotel has 25 floors, 100 guest rooms, 16 suites, 10 park view terraces and two fabulous penthouse lofts.

The location cannot be beat as it takes mere minutes on foot to get to Grand Central Terminal, Times Square and the fashion and retail districts. Fashion Week used to be held in Bryant Park, and the hotel still has a loyal famous clientele and is known for hosting some of the city’s great fashion parties and media private screenings. The hotel still retains its opulent style, fashion darlings and Hollywood devotees.

We were shown to our Junior suite by welcoming staff on our arrival and In contrast to the opulent exterior the rooms in general are super minimalist in décor and style; dark leather teamed with Italian oak furniture and crisp white 400 thread count Egyptian cotton linen on a comfortable king sized bed. The rooms include a desk, large LG LED flat screen TV, Bose Wave music system and. iHome loading dock. There’s an extensive mini bar to keep you, ahem, hydrated! The wow factor though is the fantastic views from the rooms overlooking Bryant Park which are certainly one of the highlights of staying at this hotel. The cream marble bathrooms have sized, extra deep tubs and spacious waterfall showers waterfall shower. Shaving/make-up mirror, hair dryer, robes and slippers. Toiletries are by Molton Brown – always a great sign!

Koi Restaurant is where the New York movers and shakers take clients for lunch so you know it’s a place to impress, and the sushi menu features fish that is fresh and flown in every day. The Cellar Bar is one of New York’s best kept secrets, so we are told – a hidden bar in the depths of the barrel-vaulted boîte which is home to many a media soiree and also has happy hour on a Sunday.

The Bryant Hotel is in a great location near all the highlights in mid-town Manhattan; Broadway theatres, Time Square, The Empire State Building, and Madison Square Gardens.

It’s also Just a short walk from 5th Avenue where you can shop till you drop and also catch the brilliant hop on hop off buses – one of the best ways to take in the sights of New York.
