Cara’s Catwalk Instagram Extravagnza
‘It’ girl Cara Delevingne recently made fashion history at London Fashion Week, taking ‘selfies’ to a whole new level. A regular face on instagram, Cara took to the Giles Deacon runway clutching her iPhone, and it soon became clear why. During the show she took a total of 6 instagram videos, as her and her fellow model mates strutted down the catwalk.
Her first video began with her talking to the camera just before she hit the runway, saying ‘It’s about to happen, it’s about to happen. Oh my gosh! The first ever video live from the catwalk!’ In that moment, history was made. Focusing more on her signature kooky face pulling than her fierce walk, it seems that she was part of a new age of digital marketing, helping generate more interest in the show, and designer. Could this be the start of things to come; a much more up close and personal experience with fashion week, and its much-loved shows? We sure do hope so!
