Fashion Designer Bill Gaytten brought an essence of fun and playfulness to the spring 2014 collection for John Galliano at Paris Fashion Week with girlie and upbeat designs.

The show revealed a palette of eye popping colours silver, bright yellow, navy, bold fuschia and white. The theme of the show seemed to have a youthful feel with the bright colours and sporty designs. Clever techniques were used such as 3D laser-cut flowers on shirts and the artfully folded tops and metallic fabrics gave off a futuristic vibe. Prints were a big part of the show with geometric triangles, circles and squares amongst floral patterns which were printed on sophisticated suits and skinny cropped pants. Chiffon flaring skirts and dresses were belted at the waist and although there was a youthful feel to the collection there were also some lovely grown-up elegant dresses such as the deep purple dress with square geometric print and a peek-a-boo slit on the bodice.

The shoes really stood out in the show with matching prints to the outfits, heavy platforms and accessorised with giant bows.

Models make-up consisted of just a bright lip and bare face that really made the lips pop. The coral lipstick really stood out and blended well with the neon colours throughout the runway. Hair was slicked back under a baseball cap and the metallic nails added to the futuristic feel.

Bill Gaytten really gave a fresh take on the fashion brand and we are glad because we loved the bold and bright designs he presented to us in the show, our favourite has to be the neon orange dress with 3D cut-out florals.
