Salon Science is an innovative haircare collection that tackles key active ingredients from plants to tackle the key problems we can face with our barnet. It’s basically like skincare for your hair – clever, right? Celeb hairdresser Andrew Jose helped create the range along with Dr Bernhard Irrgang, and I was thrilled to be invited to head down to Andrew’s salon to experience the products in person.
Located in swanky Charlotte Street, this salon is chic and modern thanks to its light, airy feel, alongside pristine leather furniture and kitsch pear print wallpaper. I arrived to a warm greeting from the salon and was given a much welcomed glass of champagne and tasty canapés.
Once sat in the hairdresser seat, Andrew came over to assess my hair and hear about my mane woes. It had recently been dyed and I felt like my locks had suffered a bit from the experience, as they were slightly dry and damaged, especially towards the ends. Andrew agreed and also assessed my scalp, which he confirmed was also dry.
He decided to use the Repair and Radiance mask, which contains Swiss grape to give both my locks and scalp a much-needed boost with its nourishing and strengthening formula. I sat back and relaxed with champers and mags while waiting for the treatment to work its magic – bliss! Once it was rinsed and I had received a soothing scalp massage, I was led back to my chair for a quick trim.
Andrew recommended taking of an inch from my strands to help frame my face, and with his 20 years expert experience and hairdresser to the stars – who was I to disagree?! He professionally snipped and styled my mane, as well as pushing my hair to a totally different parting, which really mixed up the finished look.
Finally, my hair was styled into a straight and sleek blowdry for a chic finish. I felt on top of the world with my super shiny and glossy tresses, and my hair really has never felt better!
