Located on London’s prestigious Park Lane, Dr Preema’s clinic is the spot to head to when you’re looking to enhance your skin and indulge in some luxurious pampering. I was recently invited to try out the spa’s bespoke facial and how could I refuse?

Warmly greeted at reception, I sat down on a plush, grey sofa as I filled out the mandatory pre-treatment forms and was led to a treatment room with my therapist Jessica.

Jessica asked about my skin and I explained that my main concerns were pigmentation, puffiness under my eyes and a generally very dry complexion. After listing each problem, Jessica talked me through the plan for my treatment, showing me several impressive-looking machines that she’d be using.

Once Jessica had a plan in place, I got comfy on the treatment chair and started to relax as Jessica gently cleansed and exfoliated my skin, prepping it for the facial.

Next, Jessica smothered my face with glycerin to get my skin ready for the Venus Legacy Machine procedure. The glycerin protects the skin and helps the machine glide over skin.

Venus Legacy is a machine that uses radio frequency to deeply penetrate the skin, improving collagen stimulation and oil production, which would help with my complexion’s dryness. Not stopping there, it also stimulates lymphatic drainage, which would soothe and decrease my puffy peepers. Jessica carefully glided the device over my face, spending plenty of time under my eyes to help smooth and de-puff the skin.

Jessica then applied the transformative Fire and Ice Facial Treatment by Is Clinical, which involved using an Intense Resurfacing Masque and Rejuvenating Masque. Adding a serious hydration boost to skin,  Jessica explained how it would lift my pigmentation and brighten my complexion.

It felt a little tingly as the product was applied and left to work its magic for around ten minutes before Jessica thoroughly rinsed and dried my face.

After ten minutes, Jessica thoroughly rinsed my face and started using the DermaFrac machine. It features a roller that contains 180 super fine needles that will help stimulate collagen production and work deep into skin to unlock glowing, plump skin. Unlike other microneedling treatments, this was super gentle on my skin and Jessica expertly rolled the machine over my entire face, focusing on fine lines around my eyes and lips.

The last step involved LED treatment courtesy of the Dermalux machine, which Jessica explained would rejuvenate my dull, winter skin. After popping on protecting goggles over my eyes, Jessica placed the machine above my face and I relaxed while the machine worked its magic.

When the treatment was over, Jessica brought me over a mirror and I couldn’t believe how good my skin looked. The puffy eyes had vanished, the dullness had gone and my complexion looked radiant. Best of all, unlike some facials, there was virtually no redness or required downtime.

My fresh and glowing skin lasted for around a week and I had so many compliments.  If you’re in need of a skin pick-me-up, then leave it to the professionals at Dr Preema to sort you out. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
