Salon Review: RYS Hair And Beauty, Chelsea, London
We all lust over the Made In Chelsea girls’ gorgeous bouncy locks, so when I was invited to check out RYS Hair and Beauty in Knightsbridge, I could hardly turn it down, could I?
With Millie Mackintosh being a regular visitor to the salon, I couldn’t wait to get my own glossy, glam hair.
The salon itself is chic and minimalistic, complete with luxe cream chairs, a trendy modern brick wall and state of the art facilities. If that’s not enough, the salon even has a garden complete with a bar. I’m pretty sure I could live there!
After returning from a week in the sun, my tresses were in a bad way – dry and damaged from the heat, sea salt and chlorine. I met the lovely Yilmaz – the style director – who promised to transform my hair and get it back to a healthier state.
I had the spa mist treatment, which would help to repair my dehydrated mane. The treatment was applied in a super comfortable seat by the salon’s hair washing area. I was then led over back to my chair, where a cap was expertly applied to cover my hair and a heated lamp was placed above my head. This ensured that the treatment was locked in to my hair, helping to penetrate the hair follicle and thoroughly condition my locks. Left with a few magazines to past the time, I felt relaxed while waiting for the magic to work.
Speaking about the treatment, Yimlaz explained: “Spa mist is the ultimate hair and scalp spa treatment at RYS for maintaining vibrant hair colour, loner lasting curls and stronger wave length”
“We use bespoke treatment capsules for individual hair types, so that once it penetrates deep into the hair follicle it has excellent conditioning effect for the scalp and longer effect when the cuticle layers are open, generating healthy growth and maintaining individual hair types, making hair glossy, vibrant if colour treated and locked waves or perm if treated”
After around fifteen minutes, the time was up and I was taken back to the sinks to get my hair cleansed and conditioned –as well as a thoroughly enjoyable scalp massage!
Yimlaz then demonstrated his expertise, blow drying my hair in to a super shiny and ultra-bouncy shape, leaving me with the tresses I’d always dreamed of.
I left the salon feeling like I was an MIC extra – I just needed the Chanel bag to match!
