Spa Review: The Chelsea Day Spa, London

The Chelsea Day Spa Boutique is the sister spa of The Chelsea Day Spa and is located on Hollywood Road, a ten minute walk from Earl’s Court. Small but welcoming, this lovely spa offers an extensive list of spa treatments including Darphin facials and Vita Liberata spray tans. On this occasion, I was there to sample the 2 Week Manicure which uses a  gel overlay. I was taken into a cosy nail room which boosted a huge range of beautiful nail colours and an impressive amount of manicure tools. My old (ashamedly rather chipped) polish was removed and my talons were trimmed and filed into a lovely, rounded shape. They were then left to soak in a conditioning treatment, which left my hands and nails feeling soft and replenished. To prepare my nails for the gel lamp, they were primed and polished to ensure the best possible results. The manicurist then expertly applied the gel base coat, before applying three layers of my chosen hue, a gorgeous deep red for the festive season. To lock in the colour, a top coat was then added. I was thoroughly impressed with how quickly the treatment took, with it taking just under an hour to give me professionally gelled nails that will last for around two weeks. A relaxing cream was also massaged into my hands and nails to complete the treatment, as well as a drop of cuticle oil on each nail, which deeply conditions them. I left the salon with nails that looked and felt better than ever before. And so far, there hasn’t been a single chip!
