With Rihanna’s latest collection dominating most of the River Island news at the moment it’s easy to forget about their main line, but fear not! Their latest drop has some of the most amazing autumn winter staples pieces we’ve seen from the store in years. Following the super feminine trends dominating the high street this winter they have got some amazing pieces for every occasion.

Looking for a show stopping knockout dress to see you through autumn to the party season? Well the breath taking black embellished maxi dress is perfect! It has a seriously high end look with beautiful sequined embellishments, and at £125 for something so detailed, you really can’t go wrong! If you’re looking to show a little more flesh then their nightwear inspired peachy dress (£80) is just as impressive. Pearl and diamond style embellishment add a 20’s twist, add their amazing doorknocker style lion earrings (£38) and lust worthy emerald serpent ring (£20) for a seriously polished look.

If you’re looking for some staple day to night pieces them River Island has nailed that to a tee for you this season. We love their sequined skinny jeans, which would look just as chic with a pair of converse as they would with a pair of skyscraper heels. If you’re after something a little more elegant, we love their pearl embellished nude pencil skirt (£65), just add impressive costume jewellery to turn this into a real knockout piece at night, perfect for a night of cocktails and dancing! Carrying on their love for serious embellishment season, the slouchy playsuit is worth a mention too – perfect with tights on a chilly night, but would look just as polished with bare legs in the spring too! (£60)

As well as their impressive range of party wear this season, their daytime basics are just as drool-worthy! We love their take on the pink coat (£65), this season’s hottest piece; the removable black fur collar gives it refreshing twist. We think it would look perfect with the tapestry skirt (£50) peeking from underneath, just add a black blouse to nail the look! And who can go a winter without buying a Christmas jumper? We can’t wait to see this 80’s style reindeer beauty hit stores soon.
